Hans Georg Hage, son of (Jacob) Johan Hage was born about 1695 in Switzerland. He died about 1770 in Rowan County N.C. He was Married to Anna Eva Frey at Modecreek Chuch, Muddy Creek In Lancaster County Pa. By Rev. John Casper Stover on January 20 1736. She was born December 30,1718 in Wingen, Alsace France, She died in Rowan County N.C. Her father was Johann Peter Frey, Born September 27,1689 at Wingen France and died May 4,1766 at Friedburg N.C. Her mother Anna Barbara Schmidt Was born April 5,1696 in Wingen France and died in Bethania N.C. on January 9,1768  Anna Eva Frey was sister to Maria Juliana Frey  The eighth child of Hans Peter Frey who became the wife of John Balthasar Hege in 1757 They moved to North Carolina shortly after the marriage, Probably George and Anna moved about the same time., Then her parents followed. 

    The muddy Creek Church was organized in 1730 The first church building was a log cabin, No other records exist as to when the church was built. The log house was replaced by a stone building in 1847. The presant building was built in 1938. In 1733 Reverent Johan Casper Stover was the Evangelical Lutheran and High German pastor in Penn and one of the first ministers. He was replaced in 1747 by Rev. Tobin Wagner. This is one of the oldest German Church in Lancaster Co. Located on Muddy Creek Road , East Concalico township which exits on route 272 north of Penn turnpike exit 21 On May 19,1743 He signed the churchs doctrine along with other members of the congreation at Muddy Creek, as George Hagi.

   Johann Peter Frey and his family left Rotterdam in a ship "Samuel" arriving in Philadelphia August 17,1733, they settled in Mudy Creek in LancasterCo. Pa.In the course of time he became a member of the Moravian Congregationmof Heildelburg The Family moved to North Carolinia in 1765 And Peter erected a house near his son Peter Jr.In what was then known as South fork Settlement, later known as Freidburg.

Hans Georg received a land grant of 200 acres located on the branch of Muddy Creek in East Cocalico, Lancaster County Pa. By warrent dated May 27,1738 . On April 2, 1745 He sold his right to Michael Harper of Chester County Pa.

Anna Eva Frey’s sister , Maria Jullana Frey, B. Feb 3,1735 in Muddy Creek, Breeknock township, Lancaster , Penn.   The 8th child of Hans Peter Frey, Married John Balthasar Hege on Octiber 4,1757He was a leader in the Moravian church, Bethlehem Penn. The church acquired the Wochovia tract of nearly one hundred thousand acres of land in Yadkins Valley Rowan County N.C. and shortly  after they were married they, with three other couples Moved to N.C. . In all probability Hans Georg and Anna moved to N.C. about the same time.

Hans Georg Hage owned taxable property in Rowan County N.C. as early as 1760. He gave a Mortgage , Dated July12. 1763 to Henry McCulloch Esquire of "Turnham Green" an agent of the Government in the reign of King George III.It was located in the tract #9 on Abbots Creek" Next to George Spracher and Peter Tinker and crossing Millers creek in what is now the north west corner of Davidson Co. NC. He sold 200 acres to his son George on April 10,1765  For the sum of 10 shillings and 10 penc. It was recommanded to the General Assembly, Rowan County Court House in 1765, That he be exempted from public dues and other services because of his age and poverty.

Jacob Valentine Haga married (2)Catherine Wesner.  Born about 1776 and died October 1847, in Rowaan \County N.C. One know son , born Dec. 9,1824 is all we have found so far.
